       1st Ankara International Piano Competition - Rules and Guidelines

         Eligibility and Age Categories:

  • The competition is open to musicians of all ages and nationalities.

  • Participants will be divided into the following age categories:

    • Category A: 18 years and older

    • Category B: 14-17 years

    • Category C: 10-13 years

    • Category D: Up to 9 years

    • Category 4 Hands (The registration fee is 55 €, no age limit)

  • Age classification will be based on the participant’s age as of October 25, 2024.

         Repertoire and Performance Submission:

  • Participants are free to choose their repertoire.

  • There is no time limit on the performance submitted via video link. There is also no minimum duration required. If the performance is brief, it can be submitted within a single video link.

         Evaluation Process and Result Announcement:

  • The jury committee reserves the right to alter the dates for the announcement of results in case of any delays in the evaluation process.

  • The names and performance videos of the winners will be published on our website and social media channels as per the schedule provided.

        Prize Details

  • The Grand Prize Winner and 1st Prize Winners from each category will perform live at the prestigious Mozarthaus Vienna Concert Hall on March 23, 2025.

  • This live performance will include a professional audio and video recording.

    Category Winners

  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category will receive official certificates.

  • Honorable Mentions will be awarded to deserving participants.

  • Additional special certificates will be presented to young talents in recognition of exceptional performances.

    Recognition and Certificates

  • All winners will be featured on the official competition website and social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

  • Award-winning participants will receive their certificates of achievement viaemail.

  • Printed certificates can be requested for an additional fee to cover shipping costs.

  • Participants who do not win awards may request a Certificate of Participation for a fee of €23, which will be sent electronically.

  • Teachers and accompanists can also request certificates for a fee of €23, delivered electronically.his performance will be recorded with audio and video
     

         Application Process:

  • The application fee of €35 is non-refundable under any circumstances. By applying, participants agree to the terms and conditions of the competition.

  • Payments must include the participant’s full name and the reference "Ankara Piano Competition."

  • Recordings must be captured with a single camera that clearly shows the musician’s face and hands.

  • Video links should be provided during the registration process, though they may also be sent via email before the competition's registration deadline.

 

         Rights and Usage:

  • By registering, participants allow the organizer to freely dispose of the photo, audio, and video recordings submitted to the competition for documentation and public relations on its website and social media. 

  • The judgment of the jury is final.

  • Due to delays in the evaluation process by the competition jury committee, the organization reserves the right to change the dates provided for the announcement of the results.

  • Official Results Announcement: in November 2024

  • Artistic photograph

  • Copy of passport or ID (with photo)

  • Video link of the performance

  • Proof of payment of the participation fee (via bank transfer, Revolut, or PayPal)
