Ankara International Piano Competition - Rules and Guidelines
Eligibility and Age Categories:

The competition is open to musicians of all ages and nationalities.

Participants will be divided into the following age categories:
-
Category A: 18 years and older
-
Category B: 14-17 years
-
Category C: 10-13 years
-
Category D: Up to 9 years
-

Age classification will be based on the participant’s age as of October 14, 2024.
Repertoire and Performance Submission:

Participants are free to choose their repertoire.

There is no time limit on the performance submitted via video link. There is also no minimum duration required. If the performance is brief, it can be submitted within a single video link.
Evaluation Process and Result Announcement:

The jury committee reserves the right to alter the dates for the announcement of results in case of any delays in the evaluation process.

The names and performance videos of the winners will be published on our website and social media channels as per the schedule provided.
Awards and Prizes:

The jury will select winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each age category, with special mentions also awarded.

Grand Prize: A Grand Prize will be awarded to one outstanding participant selected by the jury from each age category. The Grand Prize winner will be granted the opportunity to perform live at the Mozarthaus Vienna Concert Hall, with a professional audio and video recording of their performance provided.
Application Process:

The application fee of €35 is non-refundable under any circumstances. By submitting the application, participants agree to the terms and conditions of the competition.

Payments must include the participant’s full name and the reference "Ankara Piano Competition."

Recordings must be captured with a single camera that clearly shows the musician’s face and hands.

Video links should be provided during the registration process, though they may also be sent via email before the competition's registration deadline.
Rights and Usage:

By registering, participants grant the organizers the right to use the photographs, audio, and video recordings submitted for the competition.
